Default OE Stereo Removal

dont flame me if I am reposting tried searching but nothing came up.....I am trying to install an aftermarket double din stereo......can some one guide me as to how should I go about removing the panel that holds the entire OE radio assembly. I am buying the double din radio install kit but some direction of how to rwmove the oe panel would be helpful.

Gotta pry it off. It's better to do it in an inconspicuous spot, such as right beside the steering wheel, below the ignition.

You have the new panel, right?

I dont knwo the differenc between the old and the new...but since it is 2008 I guess it is the new panel

Take off the under dash panel below your steering shroud. Then there is a screw to the left of your steering wheel on the shroud around your tach which needs to be taken off next...

Then there is a small cover panel in the pocket below the radio housing that needs to be taken off (the top of the inside of the pocket) and there are 2 8mm screws holding the radio in from underneath. Once you take off the panel around the tach, and the 2 8mm under the radio, you are good to go.

I meant the panel you can pick up at the dealership, designed for an aftermarket radio to be installed in. It's exactly the same as the OEM panel, but with a cutout for the radio to go in, since it would most likely consist of more than a 3/4" by 6" orange line.

yes fiji I have the new panel I bought it off ebay color match to the OE that I have...

Thankx JT will try the instructions that you gave....
