i need to take out both airbags in my 96ls i need them intact to.

For the driver side, you need to unscrew the 2-3 bolts (can't remember) on the sides of the steering wheel. Be careful when taking out and stay clear of steering wheel when removing. For the passenger airbag, you need to remove your glove box and reach up to the top where you should find a couple of bolts on the outside of the airbag.

are there any special precautious i should be takeing aside from the battery? and is the install just as easy?

Yea the install is just the reverse way you take it off. Just stay clear of the airbag. Don't sit/stand in front of the airbag... just in case the worse case scenario the airbag deploys. but other that simple process.

You should have a little insert on the back of your steering wheel access cover, put that it the plug when you remove the driver side.

hit a pot hole real hard and theyll both blow.. lol this happend in my buddies delsol like 2 weeks ago on a bad road.
