Default HELP WITH! 97 obd2 ls into my 99 civic

i'm fixing to purchase a 97 LS swap for my 99 civic ex, question is will everything be plug and play? the swap comes with dizzy, alternater. starter and all that?

will all the other plugs be the same?.. someone said i'll have to rewire the CFK and the IACV.. but i have a obd2b to obd1 cabin jumper harness with a crome ecu..

will i run into any problems guys?.. also, can i use the 97 integra wiring harness? will i have any problems with me obd2B jumper harness?..

sorry i coudln't really find any threads with the same swap questions as mine, but if u guys have a link that'll help TIA!

you will need to reuse the civic harness. you don't need to rewire the IACV unless the car was originally an automatic and it hasn't already been rewired. You will need to make a hybrid/custom distributor using the CYP/CKP/TDC sensors from the EX distributor in the LS distributor case due to the different plugs. You may need to rewire the CKF sensor, one is 2 wires and the other is 3 I believe, color match the wires. Use the jumper harness for the ECU.

when u talk about the different plugs on the distributor are u talking different because my car is obd2b? and the LS will be obd2a?

or does the obd2a/b even exsist on integras?

Yes

Sort of. It does in terms of the ECU plugs, but the distributor plug never changed like it did on the civics between OBD2A and OBD2B.

so if i can find a civic obd2a engine harness, it'll be basically plug and play unlike the obd2b civic harness?

I seem to recall some differences where the engine harness connects to the underdash harness that make it impossible to use a an OBD2A engine harness in an OBD2B car or vice versa. So i'm going to say no, but i'm really not a big EK guy so if anyone has done this successfully, or attempted it and confirm that it wont work please chime in.

No. Integra's kept the large OBD2A style distributor plug for all OBD2 models. Unless you are using a '99 - '00 Si harness which also uses the larger OBD2A style distributor plug.

-All obd2 ditributor plugs are the same single big plug. obd1 has two plugs. obd0 has two milky plugs.

-You will need to rewire your IACV from a 3wire to a 2wire plug. And possibly extend certain plugs like map/tps/IAT. (this is if you keep your stock harness).
-You could also just go out and get an EX or SI harness and not use the vtec plugs.

-No, a 96-98 civic harness will not work.

-You'd also be better off getting a jumper and running obd1 and not worrying about cfk n secondary O2.

good luck.

1.94-97 del sol p/s pump bracket
CRV bracket 56997-P3F-000
2.can i keep my a/c bracket?
You will need the bracket from the first gen CRV
3.will i need a b series a/c pump?
Not if using the Del Sol or CRV bracket (CRV is generally cheaper)

4.94+ b series hydro clutch and flywheel
Any B series
5.94+ b series hydro tranny, and axles
Correct
6.99-00 si rear T-bracket
Correct, and you will also need the SI timing side engine mount bracket
7.94+ gsr upper and lower radiator hoses
LS radiator hoses
8.94+ b series throttle cable
Correct

all the thumb ups are for sures, the ones without them i have questions about.. chime in guys!

You can use a del sol a/c bracket if you already have it, but if you have to buy one, get the CRV one as they are cheaper than the del sol one. you don't need the mount itself, you need the bracket that bolts to the motor with 2 posts, numbers 8,19,21,and 22 seen Here

Nope. All '96 - '01 integras, all a '96 - '98 civics, '99 - '00 civic Si's and all Civic HXs (HXs remained OBD2A for the entire production run BTW) use the single large plug. The remaining '99 - '00 civic use a single small distributor plug.

Edit, HXs were OBD2A for all years of production, but they may have used the smaller style distributor plug.
