HELP on LS swap into Civic EX coupe

Default HELP on LS swap into Civic EX coupe

ok so im doing a LS swap into my 00 civic ex coupe and now im stuck.. the ls motor is a 96 but i change everything to OBD2 already.. i thought i could use my EX wiring harness but it seems that i cannot get the distrb. plug to fit with my wiring harness? Are the wiring harness from an OBD2 car all the same regardless of sohc or dohc?? i need help on this quick.. TIA..

The distributor plug should fit if they are both obd2 dizzys. If your dizzy is the 2 plug one then you know you have the obd1 dizzy.

the distibutor is 1 plug.. thats and obd2 dizzy..

You can convert your "LS distributor" plugs to a one plug. Then it will work. All the wires are the same. If not, then you will need to get a 97 and above LS distributor.

im still stuck.. i was going to try and cut the wire and splice them together.. but theres 2 extra wires left.. wtf?? help fellas

the 96-99 teggy motor is ob2a. The 99-00 civic is ob2b. Different wiring. The best thing is to get a 00-01 distributer ob2b

so obd2a distributor is different than obd2b???
