help with vtec wont engage
So I bought one of those ob2 scaners from wal-mart and tryed to erase the p0117 code it keeps spiting out. I just replace the coolent temp sensor and I am at my wits end over this. I checked all the groundings / connections

Check the resistance of the wire to ground, see if it's shorted. P0117 should be a short. Could be a bad ECU but hopefully not. Do you know someone with the same car/ECU that you could borrow for a little while?

You can also pull the 10 amp radio fuse for 15 seconds and it will reset it.

I did that already, I changed the ect sensor, then disconnected the battery for 10 min then went out and bought a OBD2 scanner and tried to erase the code all it did was blink and come back on.
