code 22, Vtec pressure sensor, Does it work??
I have a problem with my car, Driving on the highway, the CEL light came on, I turned the car off then on and the light went off and stayed off. I was concerned about it and checked to see if I got any codes. Got code # 22 two long blinks and 2 short blinks. Now I was told the code os for the Vtec sensor, So I swapped out sensors, reset the ECU, and I still get code 22, WTF???
in conclusion, I took the black wire on the green plug on the pressure sensor, spliced in a wire and grounded it directly to the battery negative terminal, checked what wire connections I could and all seemed to be fine, reset ECU 2 times and I still throw 22, Although, like I said, I DON'T get CEL, but I throw the code. How do I tell if VTEC is working?
Someone help a newb out please!

ok, so, I wired the pressure switch directly to the ecu, I cut the wie off the plug, and spliced in my own wire, fed it into the firewall, and ran it to the ECU, now, recet the ecu, I now get code #21 which is for VTEC sylenoid, WTF??????

What ecu are you running ?
A multi-meter with continuity checking would be your best bet.
If all else fails, bypass the vtps: http://phearable.net/tech

If you throw a Code 22, check your damn oil. Thats the pressure switch and if it doesn't have enough oil pressure, it will throw the code and VTEC will no longer work. You have obviously already elimitated the sensor as the problem.

i would try and run that blue wire str8 to the ECU by yourself to see if that problem is in your harness... its not that hard worth a try.

So I took the Vtec pressure switch and wired it DIRECTLY to the ECU, ret the ecu, and now I get Code #21 Wich is Vtec sylenoid, WTF now???????

**update a second time**
So tonight I wire the VTEC sylenoid DIRECTLY to the ECU, rest the ecu for 30 min, and I STILL get code #21 WTF????? I have already put on a new vtec sensor......
