Default 93 SI stalls while engine is cold.

Hey guys hopefully you can help. I did look around with the search button with no help. anyways i have a 93 si i just dropped a h23a into and with the weather getting colder here in Maryland on colder mornings the car starts but then immediately stalls. it will do this until the engine warms up a bit.

Any ideas? thanks
Ryan.

sounds exactly what happened to me. Try changing the Coil pack (ignition coil).

Secondly, I found that it could also be that moisture/condensation was getting in my distributer with an aftermarket cap. I put a genuine honda one on with a new seal.

I believe in your situation its the coil pack. Even if the coil's resistance checks out, my car would fire up no problem, but when the circuit kicked over to the run coil it dies out. After I start it sometimes two or three times it stayed running.

I'm guessing your car stalls out unless you really mess with the throttle(gas) correct between 1-3 times and usually only in the mornings??
