Ignitor or coil problems?
I have a 92 SI with 252,000 miles. Over the past 2 years, the car has just died while driving normally and won't start again. If you let it sit a while, 30 minutes or more, it will fire up again.
Happened again yesterday, towed it to the Honda dealer because I thought for sure it was the coil or ignitor, well, started up again with no problems.
Any thoughts?

hey dude...I'm having some ignition probs with me 93 Civic EX...I understand that would be the ignitor, since it works fine after cooling off...is yours the OKI (or whatever VS. NEC ignitor)? Whatever the other one is besides the NEC is supposed to be crap. A Honda Master Technician told me these tidbits (thought they didn't help my situation
)

all u have to do is get a friend. now while he trys to start the car u take a plug wire off and have it about 1/2 inch away from a grouned bolt (header bolt or something). if u see a spark jump then its not your ignition. to check the coil unplug the coil wire from the dist. and do the same thing.
