vtec controller???
i have a 97 civic ex with b16a2 swap i have a stock p2p ecu but i put a boxer field vtec controller on vtec kicks when it's soppose to but sometimes it redlines at 6k rpm so i turn the car off and then start it back up and it redlines at 7.5k rpm so i don't know if i didn't do something right or what....if any one has any ideas please help me out....
The P2P ecu is for a SOHC Vtec, right? You're running the wrong ECU. You need a P2T ecu from a 99-00 Si. And I'd get rid of that vtec controller once you get the correct ECU.
i have a 99 si ecu....but it won't fit....and i think vtec kicks in at 5k on the si ecu right....but at how many rpm does it redline?

All 99 and 2000 SI Vtec kicks in at 5500 Rpm and redlines at 8000 Rpm stock from the factory, if yours is different from that, then someone messed with it...but the Rev limiter kicks in at 8200 Rpm...
I agree with this, He needs a P2T ECU for a 99-00 SI. this is the original ECU that comes with that year and model Civic. However if he's going to be modifing the motor then I will say get a P28 ECU and tune the car...
get the 99-00 si cpu and you will redline at 8200 if u want more you will have to chip it cuz i have my v-tech kicking in at 5500 and i redline at 9 but your b16a2 will take bout 8500 and you'll be good but u need to get rid of that ecu cuz its not for your cAR
just stick with a p30 off a 96-97 B16 delsol and then you shouldn't have to get a jumper harness, and if you are then go for and OBD I Ecu.
yo u should throw that **** away man its not good for your engine if u actually tune your car and if you tune your car you should just get a s200 or s300 cuz if you dont tune that **** your vtec will sonner or late is [freak] up ur ****
