Default rod knock or?? tick sound

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHvx9CjAR9Q. i bought this car for $200 it sounds like something knocking inside, i cant tell if its comming from the head or block, wondering if anyone knows if this is my rods knocking or is it comming from the head?

It's tough to say... try a valve adjustment first, it's cheap and fairly easy to do. If you don't know what you're doing, don't attempt it yourself. You can probably get one done for like 75$ or something like that. If that doesn't fix your problem, time for a rebuild.

i see...the guy i bought it from said oil was spilling out from the bottom when it happend. does this mean it has to do something with the block? ill try an get a valve adjustment just to see if it'll work

Well with that in mind, I don't think a valve adjustment is the answer... check to see if you can find any major oil leaks... because this is sounding worse than I thought.

no leaking oil...atleast when i start the car. when i towed it nothing was leaking. and yes there is still oil in the engine.
