Default Turbo E-Manage Blue "tip-in" question

Quick set-up
D15b/y8 turbo 10.5-1
T3 turbo 8 psi
330cc
E-manage Blue
I had the car street tuned until I can get time off work to go up to have it dyno tuned. But the Tuner says that "he could not adjust Tip-in, but other than that it tuned good". But the car has a slight hesitation, mis-fire (possible detonation) at instant acceleration in 1st gear and low RPM 2nd. Is this the "tip-in"problem. And if so, how can I solve it??

sounds like tip in.

The way to solve this is to go back in time and do it right with hondata, neptune ectune etc..

Too late now.... This was the easiest way for me to keep obd0 and have vtec. My first car had Hondata s200 and 300whp. This is just a DD budget set-up.

I think that looks more in line with going to another tuner, looking at your current tuner, and doing it correctly. switching systems doesn't do any good if the tuner doesn't know what to do with the hardware/software given.

I found out from my tuner that the e-manage blue doesnt have a table for throttle tip-in. And he said that he could fix it if he could add about 10%, but becuz of the system he could not. He is a good tuner, and specializes in Hondata. He has a Civic Pro drag that runs 9.50's that he tuned off Hondata s300. However the GReddy system isnt as detailed. Dont get me wrong, the car runs excellent, and the afr's are in the 12.0-12.2 range at 6500. He is just bound by the limitations of the system.

that's interesting. I'll need to consult my other tuner about this "tip in" issue that you're experiencing. We've used E-manage for 5 years, and never had this issue to date, especially on the B18B and B18C applications.. The Ultimate was even easier to use. So I'm not sure if there is any more to comment on.
