Default ahhh help?!

ok... i just put a turbo setup on my car , im having a problem with it right now lol... if i start out in 1st gear and flatten it , it works great, but if i go from 2nd gear and flatten it i get turbo spikes, but once after about.. 5700 rpm and up the turbo works great with no spikes... now once i get into 3rd gear.. i get spikes like crazy! and all of a sudden the check engine light goes on but not sure what sensor went i just usually turn the car off and turn it back on and its gone.. any help?!

stop beating on your car before you blow the engine up. you are most likely getting a CEL because your map sensor is seeing boost(which they dont like from the factory)

you are getting boost spike because your wg cant keep up with the exh flow. either that or you have a tiny *** turbo, and the boost just falls off up top....and spikes down low because its tiny....

okay.. well it worked great at one point when i had the boost controller on... i just put that back on and it almost runs good but .. some spikes yet.. if u dont flatten it and just push the throttle in like quarter throttle and let the turbo spool than there are no spikes at all.. only get spikes when u hold it flat

you're going to need to get some sort of engine management system not a fuel control unit. cant half tune a car

damn, I hate to post this but does anyone ever search anymore?

can't anyone read the FAQ at the top of the page that says READ HERE BEFORE YOU START ASKING STUPID REPEAT QUESTIONS??????

I hate HATER-TECH anymore...this site sucks. Bunch of kids with no knowledge asking the same questions over and over and over and over and over.....its like 1 time a month something good is on here.

sorry, just venting. I'd like to read some actual "tech" for a change instead of what whp do you think I'll get? or this crap.

Make sure you hooked the boost controller up right. The one i have, if you hook the lines up backwards (done this) it will spike, drop and do all kinds of crazy *** ****.

Oh, and get it tuned, hell its cheaper to chip it, throw in a shitty basemap, then your safc, and a hell of a lot safer.
