Default Car cuts out at 6k... has fuel and spark

I have a turbo'd 94 Prelude h22. The car was recently retuned a few weeks ago on AEM EMS. everything ran perfect, making 530whp. I drove the car a week and a half ago saturday, everything was fine, Changed out knuckles, wheel bearings ect. drove the car again the follow saturday and it now acts like it hits a rev limiter at 6000 rpm.

Every gear it will engage vtec start making good boost, then right at 6k, cuts out and hits a wall. I changed plugs, wires, dizzy, coil, msd box, and resister box. We checked the tune, raised rev limiter and diabled 2step. I also tried another AEM box thinking mine may be messed up, and also put hondata in it and it did the same. We also pulled out a lot of boost to make sure we werent blowing out the spark. Now running off the gate at 10psi. Also checked grounds. Valve cover, tranny and thermostat grounds are all clean and tight.

When I log these pulls the fuel is right where it should be, staying rich all the way until it cuts out. It doesnt act like it goes lean, and the datalogger doesnt show it either. I am confused on what to try next. Any thoughts?

is your vtec working ? recently had a car over here that had a mysterious rev limiter. turns out the vtec wasnt working. it would hit a limiter, but it would keep loading up on fuel so it sounded like it was being more and more lazy the longer you stayed in it.

does your car "hit" this mysterious limiter at a stand still ? does it do it @ part throttle ?

Does it do this only under load, or while free-revving it with the clutch in too?

I have the same problem on a 2L gsr turbo. On mine it only does it under load, it does it in all gears but it feels a lot worse from 2nd up. It feels like it has a rev limiter, an under part throttle it will just fall flat on its face an under full throttle it will pull then stall pull stall an when it gets over 6500 7000 it'll pull harder.

Have you done any datalogs with the AEM? I had a similar problem in closed loop when my O2 was going bad. MAP sensor ok?

It turns out that the thermostat ground was loose. Was still bolted down, just wasnt tight... Its always the little things that get ya. I looked at that ground 1000 times, I gues I just didnt notice it wasnt as tight as it needed to be.

Turns out the dizzy I borrowed was bad to tho, so that didnt help much either. Went back to my original and it was back to normal.
