Default NEED HELP!!!!

My car all of a sudden hesitate after 5k rpm. But something to consider though some upgrade that i made after was upgrading to 16g turbo.

it was OK for a little while but it started to hesitate @ aroung 6k rpm.

I checked and replaced spark plug cable, spark plugs and checked all fuel inkectors to ensure nothing is missed. All seems to be OK.

Last update that i did was using an MSD external coil kit which included rotor and cap.

Now the car don't wanna go beyond 5K rpm at any gear at all.

The car runs OK on normal driving though.

Any suggestion is really appreciated.

Thank you guys...

so this all started happening after the external coil install? if the car is not driving can you rev it past 5K? is it just hesitating or is it like your hitting redline and no matter what the car will not rev or rpm go past 5K? what msd box are you using to control the coil.

It was hasitating past 6 to 7 K before the turbo upgrade. I found out it was my spark plug cable getting bad. After replacement it went fine again. No hesitation till meeting the red line.

I decided to do an upgrade to 16G and it was fine for a while then it started hesitating between 6 to 7 k until red line.

I was trying to figure out and i focus my attention to my ignition system.

This is when i replaced the plugs cap and rotor and i'm using MSD blaster 2, not the controlable one.

I was hoping to see an improvement but soon i replaced my internal to MSD that when the car don't want to past 5k rpm.

it sounds like an issue with the way the coil is set up, possibly wiring. normally when you switch to an external coil you use a controller box to feed more power to the coil which emits more voltage. try reinstalling the stock coil and see if you still have the issue if you do start at that point. did you make sure the screw holding the rotor is tight? how is launch control setup, what ecu or msd 2 step module kit?

I will try to place my stock back asap to see if external coil is messing it up. The wiring is very simple actually. It has positive and negative from the stock coil and simply extending the wire to hook up to the external one.

I have p28 ECu tuned on neptune.

But again, the car was hesitating before the coil change but it was not like this. Before the coil change i can hit to 6 to 7K but hesitation is there. I switch to extenal just to see if the hesitation has something to do with the ignition system but it got worst.

Could it be possible timing? or some sensors that are going bad?
