Default HKS BOV issue. Video inside..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpfdjDWvu1g

Whats going on here, I have the rubber gasket/gourmet on the bottom and the snap ring in place, why is it loose? Is this how it's supposed to be?

Seems like it needs a thicker gourmet?

Thats what i'm thinking, but can those gaskets/O Rings even go bad?

Anyone know if hardware stores stock different size rubber O rings, or any other local store I can find one?

You can take the old rubber gasket with you to a plumbing supply store. Seen them all the time

Your retaining clip is up side down. If you take the clip off and look at it very carefuly, you will see that on one side its flat and on the other side its slightly rounded. More than likely you have the rounded side facing down and not allow the clip to fully bottom out and lock into the retaining grove. I had the same issue until I figured this out.

I got this directly off HKS website....

"Replacement C-Clip for securing SSQV and Racing BOV II units on to SSQV type mounting flanges. [ Installation note: Tapered side faces upward ]"
