HKS bov gasket??????
i blew my BOV righ off the charge pipe at the track last night, and cant keep boost now. does it have some sort of washer or O ring that goes in there? i cant get it tight, and it spins now. i half assed it last night so i could get some runs in, but the RTV and gasket i made from my car insurance book(its all i had) isnt working.

Re: HKS bov gasket?????? (integRated109)
if its a newer style hks bov (not sure about the old ones) theres a ring around where the bov sits in the flange that you need to put a rubber o-ring in...just go to a hardware store in the pluming section and find one that fits the ring in the flange...you want the oring to stick out some when its in there so when you put the snap ring on it compresses the rubber ring to seal it off....also make sure that you dont have the snap ring upside down...one side has a taper on it and the other is flat, you want the tapered side down when you put it into the flange.

Re: HKS bov gasket?????? (T25 civic)
i would assume it just makes it more secure with the taper side down. maybe that was my problem in the first place. it was my first time runing that much boost(only 9psi so far....)so it could have been ready to go the whole time, and the extra pressure popped it off.

I've been having problems with my wastegate (i think the ****** doesn't work at all) and I've been hitting 15 lbs of boost when I was trying to set it at 8 psi! Since my BOV didn't blow off then I'm thinking I have it on right hahah.
