Default boost by gear on neptune?

just sent my rtp out to get it ready for the pwm setup so i can run mac valves for boost control. my question is how does the ecu see that you are in a certain gear. i have a dss spool an there is no vss gear so i have a bracket made to run the vss off the back brake drum. does this work or does the vss need to read something that spins faster like the half shaft? thanks for any help.

You must set your gear ratios & use a speed sensor for the ecu to know what gear you are in to use boost by gear.

Like John said, pick your tranny in the gear correction section. You'll notice while datalogging that the data window has an item for gear which tells you what gear you're in.

like i said i have no ring gear for the vss, so is running the vss off the rear brake drum acceptable place to put it. what would you recomend for this situation?

You'll have to try it. I don't have a recommendation, you're the first.
