TPS Adjustment Problem - 0v/3.3v
I've got a problem adjusting my new (from streetimports https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2014912) TPS on a d16z6.
According to the FSM, at throttle closed it should be registering .5V, and at WOT it should be registering ~ 4.5V.
No matter which extreme (or any variation in between) I turn the TPS, it always and only registers 0V at throttle close, and a max of 3.3V at WOT. Tried two different Fluke MM, and two different stock P28 ECU's.
Battery voltage is 12.5, and when I test yellow/white against green/white at TPS harness, voltage is exactly 5V.
Anybody have any suggestions? I need to get rid of this TPS code!

Yes, I'm trying to rotate it clockwise or counter clockwise and set it at .5v/4.5v WOT, but it won't hit those readings in any direction or at any stop in between those.
I've tried two different ECU's, so I can only guess that the brand new TPS is bad - which is hard to believe!

not really, i've ordered some that weren't working properly when the arrived, they're some-what sensitive.

I know Honda calls for it to be at .5V but I ordered one from Inline4 and I adjusted mine to .3V and its much better. Give that a try and let us know how that goes for you...

That TPS is toast. the ECU is sending the 5 volts.. so that rules out the ECU.
Are you measuring the voltage at the TPS sensor or the ECU?
If you're testing at the ECU maybe you have a bad wire?

I'm testing at both the ECU and also at the sensor itself.
Something I'm thinking about trying is enlarging the holes on the TPS and seeing if I can get it within spec.
As far as I know, you have to set the WOT before you can set the closed throttle. If I can get the WOT dialed in after enlarging the holes, maybe I can get the closed throttle set properly.
I knew I should have just bought a used OEM TPS instead of going for a "new" chinese made product.

I used an old OEM TPS for my crx/b16 when i had idling issues..
I just slapped it in there.. and moved it around till i had 0.5 volts at idle

I took off and reinstalled the TPS. I think the first time around I didn't have the arm lined up.
I got it adjusted just fine, although to get the closed throttle to hit the .5V that the service manual calls for, I had to slightly adjust the throttle plate stop screw.
