Default CAMS: ITR vs Gude turbo

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Gude turbo cams. Right now I have ITR cams, but I have a chance to get some Gude turbo cams. Do you think that they are worth changing. I'm running a b16 with an ITR head and a Drag 3 @ 11 psi.

go for the turbo cam... ive seen 10+ people running type r cams and then switching to almost any type of turbo cam and see a 20-70hp at the wheels

i dont know about 70hp to the wheels.... maybe 15-20 and thats PUSHING it. I run the gude turbo cams on my h23a and i like them A LOT. Awesome power band, but nowhere near 70hp to the wheels

I asked this question before and just about everyone (everone worth litening to, that is) said stick with stock. Less concerns with breakage, less worries with coil bind or fatigue, and they make plenty of power. I'm staying with stock cams and putting my money where it will be more beneficial.

Well if you had the funds to buy the turbo cams, you surely will pick up 10-20hp with the cams. They work, and they do make power. But the money spent on cams could buy you a set of forged pistons, or rods, or something internally that would be more important to the structural soundness of the block. If you must get something in terms of cams, just buy the type r exhaust cam. This will give you some of the power that you are looking for w/o spending an *** load. Putting type r cams in also depends on the compression you are at. I suspect that if i dropped the type r cams in my 11:1 b16a block, there would be more significant gains than if someone just dropped them into a 9:1 block.
