b series questions
I have a few questions i need answered asap.
1. I know this has been covered before but I want to hear stories from folks who done it or did it,Is it safe to turbo an itr motor?
2. Can CP 12.5 compression b18b pistons work in a b16??
3. My b16 has a knocking rattling from around 200rpm upwards after i ran the shoot out of it one night,also it wont idle.what could it be?im thinking con-rod bearing??

I know can turbo a b18 but im wondering about a type r as in DC2 motor???Im worried about the high-compression..
typo sorry..I meant 2000rpm..getting tired lol
When its cold it will idle fine but knocks from 1500-2000rpm upwards.vtec is coming in.When hot it wont idle at all and takes long to start almost like a dead battery but yet the battery is almost new.I even recharged it to make sure.
Ideas??

Kinda yea i guess...im afraid its a con-rod bearing..sounds almost like something loose and rattling but yet everything is tight and the sound is definitely coming from the bottom back of the motor.

pull your oil pan off and check to see if there is any play where the rod connects to the crank, if there is, pull the cap off and check the bearing.....if itsounds like bb's check the timing could be detonating.....what grade gas you run?

ive experienced it myself and on friends cars. not a happy sound. And also turbocharging a stock ITR engine is a terrible idea. compression is way to high to begin with. Unless you knock the compression down with diff pistons you'll be asking for a blown motor
