are 96-00 civic ex motors the same?
I have a 99ex I bought that needs a motor I found someone with a 96 motor will this swap right in.

thanks for the responses guys, and I am not the one putting it in my friend will be installing it for me. is there anything that will be effected by the fact that one is obd2a and one is obd2b?

Almost, the intake manifolds are different between the automatic and manual versions. Also '99 - '00 use have some air injection stuff on the intake manifold that the '96 - '98s don't have.
