i have a dc sports exhaust and the tip is 4 inches and i'm wonderin if i cutt of the tip and put on a gsr tip on it will it effect anythin . will it make my car quieter? its already not the loud but i want it to look stock polished .im not feelin the 4 inch tip . would i be able to pass smog without the DC SPORTS stamp on the tip if i cut it off?let me kno H_T.thanks

 

i dont think it would matter much since what is really creating the flow of the exhaust is the actual piping not the tip.

You should be ok, as for quieter i guess it will just a tad but once again like i said, the piping and the actual muffler is what makes the sound so the tip shouldnt affect it dramatically.
