DC Sports Tip and Muffler
Hello ht, i was wondering if i could put together a mini "system" without buying a full catback.
i was thinking DC Sports resonated tip seen here
and a DC Sports Muffler seen here
i was thinking of cutting off the tip already on the muffler and adding the resonated tip
i dont really want it to sound ricey and i was thinking of the cheapest way to do it.

Well I wanted to keep the integrity of the stock system
1. a catback gets louder
2. Cops here are terrible
3. most have ridiculous 5" tips and are not street legal
i was just thinking of a cheap way to modify my first car a little bit.
i was also thinking i would do audio with kenwood and kicker subs, headlight restoration, seat covers, gut the back out, paint, rear disc conversion and wheels and tires..
do you guys know of any cheap reputable brands for wheels and tires? and plus do u know of any good ways to convert the rear drums to discs for under 500 bucks? Also, do you know of any good-looking wheels for under 120 a piece?

Modify in what sense?.......Modify sound? Performance? <------not gonna see any gains
The yonaka is quiet, and a really nice option. Only on special while supplies last!!!
Theres no way a cop would hassle someone with the yonaka.
Way too many wheel options at that price to list....do some searching
Converted my car to rear disk for $100 ish bucks using junkyard parts.

The yonaka is a strait thru design, but is densly packed and takes the sound down. Mine doesn't sound "ricey"
That dc sports muffler in the link would probably sound decent, but would most likely be too loud for you.
You get what you pay for....I sure as hell wouldn't put a $44 n1 style muffler on the car.
What car or we even talking about "modifying" here?

Re: DC Sports Tip and Muffler
mmmm, that is kind of invalid.
1. I dont even have a car to sat i have a custom system.
2. It's not very custom if there's just a muffler and a tip on it
3. I don't even have money to just go spend on a catback for a car I'm only going to keep for 2 years or so
4. I just wanted to know if it would sound ricey or not, not looking for catback just wanted to know if the DC Sports muffler and resonated tip would sound good and if it met 95db or lower. thats all i was asking for.

Re: DC Sports Tip and Muffler
the point was to weld on the resonated one to the muffler so it's kind of like a catback but for only 60 bucks. I wanted my car to sound good and deep not ricey and fart can. I just wanted to know if it would sound good, that's all.

Your version of "ricey" can differ from someone else.
In my opinion, any n1 muffler with the exception of the hks hi power and greddy rs, sound like ***.
A $44 muffler is not going to sound good.
Are you going to be welding it? A typical muffler shop would charge $50 just to hang a muffler. That's almost a $100 you invested to have a n1 muffler on the car.

Re: DC Sports Tip and Muffler
What is it you have against catbacks? Because if your system isn't stock it WILL get louder. I don't care what kind of hokey combo of parts you try to cobble together.
Don't have money? leave it stock. Don't half *** it like you're planning on doing.

Re: DC Sports Tip and Muffler
THEY ARE!!!! But some people don't seem to realize that modifying cars is an expensive hobby. If you cannot do it properly then just do regular maintenance and leave it stock.
I still have yet to hear what is wrong with the stock muffler on this car that it needs changing out. OEM is quietest.
