Default Need help car shifts kind of funny!!

I have a honda civic ej1 and my car shifts roughly. It sometimes revs before shifting almost like a 5 speed. When making a left or right on a corner a high rev will occur if i gas it. I also notice that my third gear shifts a lot quicker than all the other. I think that its my timing belt because my mechanic removed it when he was changing the water pump. Any help would be appriciated.

do you ever drive it like its a manual? shifting? or drive like an ***? check your fluid. if not that take it to a transmisson place that checks it for free.

Uhh, hate to bust ur bubble but driving an auto like it's a manual and "manually shifting" IS driving it like an ***.

@ OP:
It doesn't have anything to do with your timing belt, despite the time line.

It sounds like a clutch pack is slipping, or the torque converter is...I'd have the trans checked out ASAP b4 you burn something out and are stranded. I'm not a tranny expert though, especially not an auto trans expert. Either way, I think it's going to get to dropping that trans and cracking it open.

No I don't drive my car like a manual..thats hella dumb. You only do that if you're asking for a new tranny. My fluid is fine but wat i heard is that f the timing belt is not installed correctly or its a couple of bumps off then the car will run like ****. IDK i'll take it to a shop to find out the real problem. Thanks anyways.

timing belt has absolutly nothing to do with the trans but to make sure just rev ur car in neutral and see if the engine is revving freely and timing is good

i was wondering if the axle would have anything to do with the problem because my mechanic took it out to replace the boots.
