Default Cam Gear Key Shreading????

I Have a 93 Civic hatch cx With a D16z6 Swap. Lightened flywheel and stage clutch. I ran into a problem after a head swap from a z6 to a z6 on this particular head first i put the timing belt on and drove it around the block well after about 2 blocks the Goodyear Gatorback timing belt snaps... After pushing it home and doing a compression test it tested Dizzy side100/100/100/00 cam side in otherwords i have bent valves... I do another z6 head swap and i have a Brian Crower cam in it stage1 this time i take it around the block with the new timing belt and it the car breaks again as im looking i seen that the cam notch is on the opposite side of the cam gear notch...Luckly enough it breaks while the head is tdc...No Bent valves...Went and got my stock cam gear and i get a few more blocks down the road same thing happens???
Any info would be greatly greatly appreciated.. Ive think ive got it down to eathier or maybe all... Bad Tensioner, Bad Water Pump like a (dead spot), Cam caps too tight (maybe creating drag on the cam), Valve adjustment we just did is too tight... What do you think??? add to the list with ideas
