zc swap into 89 civic lx sedan, can i keep my auto?
Hey guys, I have the massive 92hp 1.5L (lack of)powerplant in my 89 civic lx 4 door and to add insult to injury, its an auto tranny. I know,I know, I think it sucks too. However, I dont have the time,money, or desire for headaches that the auto to manual swap would require. So here's my problem, I want the zc bad, but i want to keep my auto tranny. Is this possible? Is the auto tranny on a 91 EX the same as on my 89 LX? If I can make an auto zc, what ecu should i use? will a 89 auto teg ecu work? will it plug in to my existing harness? any help would be appreciated. thanks

Why Why Why!?!?!?!?!?!?! the swap to manual on a cable car really is not that bad and a ZC with an auto would kill you. but if you want to do it just pick up a used tranny and ECU out of an 88-89 integra it uses a motor that is very close to the ZC
