Hey all, had a hard time searching, so if such thread does exist, i must not be using the right search string(s)
Just bought these spoon replicas off eBay

the mirrors that came on my 5th gen coupe are no longer able to be controlled by the little manual handle inside the car (on both side, i believe they are rusted to **** and they flap in the wind and they don't hold their position)
So I'm just looking for a lil guidance on the install

its pretty easy to swap them. start by carefully prying on the top of the little black interior piece that covers the mirror screws, then remove the 3 (10mm i think) bolst holding the mirror on. then just do the opposite off taking them off with the new mirrors

thanks for the response
hopefully it's as simple as it sounds when I get home LOL so I shouldn't have to take off the door panel then? Also connecting the little handle to the mirror.. simple/easy?

you shouldnt have to remove the door panels and ive never heard of swaping the little control arm things over to the new mirrors. i just push mine where i want them with my fingers. before you install them you might want to check these out: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=747144

As said above super easy. Just pop off black cover, unbolt old, rebolt new, replace cover, and walla. The arm won't work any longer and I left mine off. I plan on picking up some for a ex with power mirrors.

installed my eGay sp00m mirrors.... now I can actually see off the side of the car AND they don't flap in the wind anymore!! w00t
sp00m mirrors

dead OE mirrors

I must say, pretty damn good fitment for sp00m mirrors, I was very impressed

I found it easier just to remove the door panel to remove little black piece you guys were referring to...

clearly we are not able to use the manual OE arm to control the sp00m mirror, but that's fine
overall, pretty damn simple install... only thing was that the sp00ms didn't come with any hardware, luckily was able to use these from the broke as mirrors to screw it in

initially none, but now I suppose I will considering what you've said, thanks for the heads up on that
