Default civic lights

I just bought a 1998 civic and the headlights in the dim mode dim and then briten up about every 20 sec or so. It doesn't do it on bright. Could it be a ground problem or relay. Has anybody had this problem. I afraid there going to go out at the wrong time. thanks

sounds like ground problems. buy a ground kit and hook it up. it should stabilize the voltage throughout your whole car.

+1 my lights surge every now and then, its a ground issue.

You dont even need a ground kit really, just buy new wires from radioshack and replace all your old ones, if you're comfortable with your soldering skills.
