fog lights not staying on
okay well i've these fog lights in now about 2 1/2 years and they have been fine. now it seems that they don't want to stay on.
i used a relay, and hooked it up to the parking lights. (when parking lights come on the fog's do too.) now it seems that as soon as i put the haedlamps on the fog's go out. what gives? mabeye a bad or weak relay? anyone had this problem before?

Check your ground wires, could be a bad ground or relay or something of that kind.. just check over em with a "fine tooth comb".

Re: fog lights not staying on (cccya)
It depends on how you wired it up..
But my guess would be that there's hot to hot short somewhere in your connections.. And when you turn on your headlights, that current is traveling to the ground side of the foglights and thus shutting them off..
Good luck.

Re: fog lights not staying on (PnX-R)
it's either a bad ground, or bad relay. the problem comes and goes. haven't had a problem in 2 weeks now. i think it's the relay, but i'm to busy to go out and check it. but i still fix thecivicprojects, car in 30 sec when he couldn't with a sledge hammer. and i only used my hand....hahahah
