Is 7psi too much or should i go lower? And what kind of fuel setup do you recommend? I'm planning on buiding up the engine later on but right now i have no cash.

what is your compression ratio? ~10.8:1?

I dunno, I'm kind of conservative when it comes to motors... I dont think I would boost at all with that kind of compression on OEM parts.

But that's just my opinion...

7psi is totally cool as long as you have some good fuel management. I might retard the timing to the minimum stock setting to be safe, too.

Why are you using type R pistons for FI? That may not be wise.
Fuel setup:
handata 2b, 720 injectors-I think viren has a great deal on these. Wish I would of got mine from him before I picked up the 550s. Get the 720s, especially since your'e going to build up your block. I wish I did.
Walbro high pressure intank fuel pump.

Water injection is nice if you got the extra cash. You won't need to retard your timing as much and will be able to run more boost.

That'll proll cost around 1300.00 and should be good for 400+ whp on pump gas (93)

Yeah, that was my concern...

too much compression in an LS block, ok for all-motor, but for boost...

well i bought the car like that. i used to have a hatch with ls turbo but i got into an accident and the frame is all f-ucked. when i first got the ls/vtec i wanted to keep it all motor but i changed my mine. vtec is cool but its nothing like turbo.
