Default Buddy club spec 2

Well I finally got one and I was going to put it on but I was wondering should I run a converter or a test pipe.

is it loud with the converter still or even more loud without it

lol. Definitely run a test pipe with that exhaust. It'll enhance the sound in both the cabin and for the passers-by.

i've ran it both with and without a testpipe/cat

i can't tell the sound difference.....its probably because i'm going deaf from daily driving the car with this exhaust for the past 2 years

The Buddy club spec 2 doesn't belong on a street caR. It is almost an all out race system. Lound...no, very lound...no, extremely lound.

If you know what you are dealing with then it's O.K. About the Toda header, get it if the bling factor is your priority.

Is this a track car only? If not, don't expect to hit vtec with the silencer out in any populated area. And if you do, hope there isn't a cop around.

I still don't get it, and I say this in every BC Spec II thread. WTF is the point of such a loud damn exhaust for a street car? It gives everyone who drives a Honda a bad name.

I guarantee the Spec II doesn't make anymore power than a Spec III or any of the other quieter exhausts on the market.

The look and exhaust note is the only factor selling the exhaust, but the spec III is still fawking loud too. Recently i made a header change to the Hytech Relica from my jdm header and cat setup, so was forced to use a test pipe due the the extra length of the header, and that was super annoy loud. I said "Fawk that!" I cut down my exhaust to fit the cat into this setup. After that, my exhaust note was cleaner and quieter, but it was a slight bit restricting (obviously). IF you decide to get the Hytech relica, i think the bcII will delete the cat/testpipe as an option all together.

So will it bolt up to my exhaust now or will I still have to run a test pipe.. I thought I seen something a long time ago about having to run a jdm converter

Since when is the Toda header a bling factor? Could it be because it is one the top performing off-the-shelf headers available for our cars?

OP- I would quit worrying about test pipes. You obviously want to run this exhaust (and lose your hearing) so stick it. Find a shop that carries Magnoflow products and have them fab up a reasonator. That will help a bit, notice I said a bit, in the sound department. I personally would run a cat, since their affect on performance is minimal. Just me.

It's JDM length. It's not gonna bolt up if you are running the stock cat or stock length cat.

You really didn't do much research, did you?
