resonated testpipe, anyone running one of these?
just wondering since im thinking of trying one out, just wanted to hear from you guys and see if anyone has any experience with the sound of a resonated test pipe vs. say a carsound cat, or just a regular test pipe? how much quieter/louder wil it be compared to the other 2? just curious, TIA

I have no experience with testpipes. I'm guessing the resonated test pipe will give you a deeper sound and should be quieter than a regular testpipe.

My testpipe and my carsound cat with my fujitsubo sound EXACTLY the same. In fact, occaisonally with the cat the car is louder than it was with the test pipe. Go figure.
I'm guessing the resonated test pipe would not make much difference when compared to a cat. on some exhausts, maybe the regular test pipe would make it much louder.

I have a resonated testpipe. The noise is almost the same as a cat....

that is strange chris!
im probably going to get rid of my current exhaust for a better flowing one and the fujitsubo was one of the ones i was looking at, other one is waiting to see what the SMS bolt on exhaust is going to be like! my first choice obviously! but that is good to know and being resonated wont restrict any of the flow as compared to a regular test pipe will it?
