you would also want to rebuild the bottom end, IMO, b/c b20's werent made to rev very high, so in order to get full use out of that gsr head as well as turbo, you will want to strengthen the bottom end
at the least Id get the block sleved and some ls pistons. I would have done that anyway with a b20 vtec set up, those engines are only supposed to go up to a little over 6 grand. pushing it to 8500 all the time is going to cause the block to crack. I use to have a friend who would do b20vtec all the time, but never built the bottom end. hed go threw the blocks at the rate of about 1 or 2 a month
yuor friend cant build them maybe. im not flaming no body. but we do these swaps at the shop and we rev the up,if it has a nice set of cams. reving a b20 vtec with stock cams makes no sence. we do 8200-8500 rpms . depends on the drivers way of driving.
Thanks for the opinions and help guys. I think im gonna get it sleeved and go from there. The guy I bought it from gave me some high compression pistons. I was just wondering about f/I and don't know much about it so I appreciate the help
Oh yeah, as mentioned its a good idea to adress the bearings. They really wasnt made to revved as high as a b16 or something. Sure some people go as high as they want but with any build especially ls/vtec and cr/vtec its only reliable as the builder. Better bearing such as acl race bearing or something will improve the longevity of it.

Ok thanks for the info man! Well lets say I take necessary steps like sleeves and pistons and bearings etc. Is there like complete kits with everything you need or do you have to piece everything together?
This is prolly a dumb question but im asking from my sidekick so searching takes forever
