Default how to check if distributor is not bad

I have b16a2 and wanna know how do u check to see if the distributor is working or not cuz my motor wont start need help on ways to check the distributor

Did you check for spark yet? If not, take out one wire/plug and touch the ground strap to a clean ground. Have someone crank the engine over a few times and check for a healthy blue arc.

To somewhat check it out, you need a DMM (digital multi-meter). With this you can check the resistance of the ignition coil (primary & secondary) and the resistance of the 3 sensor coils'. You could also check that B+ is getting to the coil/igniter along with pseudo-checking the igniters input from the ECU [it should be pulsing, so your meter should register something].
