Default Help Sputtering FULL BUILT D-Series 85 miles on fresh motor

srp pistons eagle h beams regrind cam.

Got tuned b4 the rebuild. now seems like there is a misfire. NO codes being thrown. Afraid im having an injector malfunction. precision 780's w/ about 900 miles on em.

Right now im thinking one of the clips is bad on cylinder 2 injector.

It only sputters when im putting ANY load on it. mostly past 10 vac..

sorry for scattered thoughts. kinda discouraged with having my Brand NEW MOTOR fresh built and paying $$$$, and not running correctly.

you taking any wideband readings?
Have you looked at your spark plugs?
Why do you think its #2 injector clip? Does it looked damaged or something?

And what type of ems are you using to control those 780's?

ectune on my p28. and yea when my buildr gave me the car back he said that clip was acting up
i pressed it on after that and i heard it click (small metal piece around click, going back on). It hasnt come off since then, but its been getting worse and worse hesitation, to where it is now, it is kinda bad, like im afraid to drive it. fearing that te lack of fuel to one cylinder could cause a problem, i dont want to see, on a fresh full built motor w/ 89 miles on it.

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, but you had the tune done BEFORE the engine was built? Or you were running the same setup and just freshened the engine up?

x2

Because if you did add these parts after your initial tune you are going to have to go back to the tuner to have him tweak your maps. Your previous tune will not match your new cams and Compression ratio.

just freshened engine up. All of those parts were in already. New bearings were the only change. I am throwing an IAT code and i think that is going to have something to do with it. I'll be racing my other car @ Sebring, FL all weekend. So Mon i'll go on the search for a new IAT. What OBD can i use. thanks.
