Default Something in my oil damaged my new Garrett turbo...

I noticed I was getting some smoke so I sent my 60-1 turbo off to precision turbo

They said something foreign in the oil caused damage to my seals..

Now I am scaird to put the expensive [to me] *** turbo back on my car. $300 later I get it back monday..

I have the oil feed t'd out off the oil sending unit hole with fast turbo oil lines.

I also have a sandwich adapter by golden eagle, would that be a more filtered, cleaner source?

I know they make mini oil feed filters but precision says they are more trouble than they are worth and have to be cleaned a whole whole lot.

This is all on a piston rod swapped 81mm gsr running 12-18psi w around 7k hard miles on everything. I change the oil every 1500 and the filter every 2500 with castrol 10w30.

Please help

I don't know why you posted all those pictures for when typing the question was enough.

As for your problem? Get an oil analysis done and see WTF is in there.

Are you running an oil line restricter? If not, that could be causing your seals to blow.

have you looked into the shaft angle of your turbocharger in relation to parallel, its pretty far off.

this can cause issues that if caught soon enough appear to be oil starvation of either the compressor or turbine bearing/seal. if let go for a long enough period of time the turbo will start to eat itself and it then looks like oil contamination..

I have no oil restrictor, I was told by fast turbo not to install one because I was running a 3an line..

When you say shaft angle, do you mean how my center section is clocked? like how the oil inlet and return are not strait up and down? We are fixing that.

Thanks for your time

He is talking about the angle of the turbo, and how its sitting on that manifold.

That doesn't look bad at all. Have any other issues ever?

The first pic looks kinda jacked up, but honestly I think its just that pic

Here is another, the cold side actually sits higher than the hot side.

and another

Or are you talking about how the turbo is not completely parallel with the head?

I have not had any other problems with this setup what so ever.

also sorry about sleevedsensation, he is a friend of a friend.
