Default d16y8 swap

I got a d16y7
looking to swap a y8 in there
could i use the same tranny or do they have different trannys?

The D16y7 has a longer geared tranny..

You can use it, but for a more practical setup you would want to use the EX tranny..

Do you plan on racing the car? Daily driven? Boost?

If you plan on boosting, i would just keep the tranny and use it..

nnaaahh its gonna be a daily driver til get $$$$ for a b16/18 setup or k series. so you think ill be ok with the tranny i got for about...maybe...7 months?

ok..whats a decent price for a y8? someone on craigslist got one with 80k asking 300

That's a great deal..

Umm.. pricing.. it really all depends.. I have friends that practically give there d-series away.. Then i have some who cherish there's.

Anywhere from $300-$800.
