Default boost and stock internals

Alright, now I know theres all diff. set ups and it depends on how and who tuned it, the kind of aftermarket products. Heres the thing some people run 15 lbs and nothing happens and some people run 10 and BOOM. Im talkin same tuner and same intaller, pretty much same setup. What is anybody's opinion on what is safe on stock internals with the right fuel upgrades and correct tuning with stock b18c internals? no more than 10lbs, 13 as long as the fuel is there to meet it? as long as you set the air/fuel right, with the right upgrades and tuning then going over 10 a little bit is ok?

10 on stock internals is about the most i would run.. even then you should deff get it tuned..

screw other cars and there setups, do yours right (by not buying cheap *** parts) and you wont have a problem running very well.. and yes GET A TUNE it will be worth every penny.. it will be like GOD touched your car!

If i was in your shoes i'd buy a turbo kit as opposed to piecing together one yourself. Either way, quality is always a key factor in how your car will handle it.

Anyway, the reason i say buyig a "already peiced together" turbo kit is that it's a good learning experience, while having all the parts layed out in front of you. It helps getting yourself comfortable with what you
re working with.

What ever experince you're talking about in your original post could be for various reasons. FOr example, what was the actual condition of each engione. Either one could have been way different, one even abused. So it's hard to say for sure.

I daily'd my stock z6 on 10lbs. Just make sure you run a compression test 1st, get some headstuds, TUNE! and like Boost_V said, the more quality parts you have, the less chance of something failing.

I just finished my gsr turbo and had the same question, everybody said 10lbs and when I went to go get it tuned the guy up there told me its not really amount of boost that tears up a motor its hp or load on the engine. of course these kind of go hand and hand but one turbo may create alot of boost with not so much load and another may take alot so it all really depends. I ended up running 11psi just to put me over 300whp and the most important thing is the tune. of course you need to be able to supply the fuel needed, I just went with 680cc precission's and a 255lph pump. if the tunner is creditable then you shouldnt have any problems.
