when u swap from obd2 to obd1 can you check for codes?
my car ran fine last year but pulled it out of storage after doing a just a cam swap and it has a cel on now. pinned the conecter and nothing happens just stays on all the time right from the moment the key is turn on no blinks just on. any ideas what to do?
the plug im checking is blue with a brown and black wires in it. its not pluged into a ny other conecter just sitting in a rubber booted cover thats made for two connecters to sit in
If you jump the service check connector, the two pin connector that I am assuming that your talking about, and the CEL is solid. That means that there is no code stored in the ECU. If you reset the ECU, by pulling the backup fuse or disconnecting the (-) battery terminal for a few seconds, does the CEL come back on immediately?
yes i tryied disconecting the battey and trying again same thing never blinks ever allways on with the paper clip in or out, no difference. the connecter im probing in located in the green boot i pull it out and paper clip it. the connecter is not plug in to any thing just siting in the boot

You didn't make any changes this year or move anything? Are you using a chipped ECU? Do you have access to a known good ECU that you could plug in to see if it works?
this year i put new hg , new gt35r turbo ,add second fuel pump , new cams. thats it everything else is the same a last year. same hondata s200, same p28 ecu . then went to start it and now solid cel. runs drive fine though
Running an S200 you should be able to get the code from the ECU via the data logging port. If you don't have access to Hondata software try and find a local shop/ your tuner to hook up and see what's going on with the unit.
yea i dont have the cable to run to it and the software for the computer. thats why im trying to figure it out before i go for a retune and there are other stuipid costly issues to track down.
I am not familiar with Hondata systems, so I'm not 100% on the flashing light.
Make sure you check all of the wiring & connections for the sensors that you disconnected when you replaced the HG. Make sure you have all of the ground wires connected to the head, intake and valve cover as well.

i got cel off not sure why its off now but its off. i switched to my stock p72 ecu and cel was off for a few moments then it came on, i checked the code with a paper clip it came up with 2nd o2 sensor problem because im not running one.then switched back to the p28 ecu and cel is off, so i took a short ride and it still off this is weird that it works now.
