hi to all-i am new here. i have a 1995 civic automatic with 180,000 miles. generally runs well,however,at 1500-1800 rpm engines shakes a sputters. clears up around 2000 rpm and seems to run fine. changed cap and rotor-no fix. also speedo goes crazy-works when it wants to and sometimes goes well over 120 miles an hour will cruising 40-45. any help is greatly appreciated.

 

does it do the shaking in every gear? could be an alignment issue/ball joints etc. as for your speedo, id reccoment checking the wires to see if theres a short, also you may want to check your vehicle speed sensor

 

the sputter could be the igniter in the dizzy, and your speedo problem is the vss (vehicle speed sensor) on the trans or the connection to it (clean the connector)
