problem with speed odometer

Default problem with speed odometer

i was wondering if anyone can help me out with a little problem my speed odometer only works sometime when it feels like it . . . my rpm meter works fine just my speed odometer is not really working right i was wondering if it was the wiring or should i just replace it with a new cluster

Check your VSS plug on top of the tranny housing.

yah i had the same problem, it would spike every now and then and sometimes just sit there till eventually it completely stopped working. I got so many ****** speeding tickets after that =\ I had to replace the vehicle speed sensor (the mechanical unit in the transaxle.) It's about $40 at a junkyard and you shouldnt have any problems afterward.

i already replace my speed sensor and i still have the same problem

Probably needs a new speedo head. The speedometer and odometer both run off the same signal.

im having the same problem too...i got a speedosensor off an auto tranny...would that fit and work the same?
