my 00 Si has been bogging very badly and with a sporatic idle, but it ONLY does it when the cars hot and at lower rpms. And not even just normal operating temperature but only when its a hot day outside. Runs perfect when its a cold day. I have cleaned out the iacv but didn't help. I have thought of many potential problems but nothing comes to mind that would only be caused by a rise in the engines external temperature.

I have found many threads with similar problems but I can't find any that the OP has acutally fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

I Just had this problem and fixed it like 30 mins ago
FIRST i would check your timing and if your timing is dead on
then replace the o2 sensor (thats what was wrong with my car)
but it bogged randomly and had a slightly sparratic idle but its fixed now

its a coolant temp sensor. guaranteed

 

hm... i just changed that... still having problems

 

How 'bout the main o2 sensor? A faulty one can cause some very strange symptoms.
