k20a2 02-04 has 200hp
k20z1 05-06 has 210hp, better headers, slightly higher compression, better cams...similar to type R, better transmission (carbon coated synchros) shorter 5th
k20a jdm type-r 220hp same as k20z with lsd and slightly higher compression and diff intake mani
a2- $3-4000
z1- $4-4500
a- $5500-6500

All k motors only have one header and the compression between both motors are the same.

point is why buy a type r motor for 1500 more when all u get is .5 more comp and a lsd. just make shur u dont buy the jdm k20a from the type s integra has only 160hp seen people get riped off befor.

Lean towards the '05-'06, majority of them tend to have low miles (as stated above) and is still in pristine condition.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the weight of both of the years are quite similar to each other? I don't want to search for that information, but if correct then it all comes down to what you like best (i.e. headlights, tail lights, gauge cluster, and wheels).

Stop spreading misinformation. It's the Base model you're talking about, not the Type-S.
