Default just boosted

ok i just boosted my civic. its a b20z block with the b16a2 head and tranny, i got it all hooked to geather and my boost gauge hooked up.
i took it down the street to see if i was bulding boost and nothing. my vacuum reads about 20 witch is perfect and when the throttle is on it read 0. but no positive pressure. i only took the car to about 4 grand. with that said could i just not be spooling yet or what. its a stock motor with a 57 trim t4 turbonetcs with with a 78 compresser housing. i also know i have a small oil leak from the oil pressure sending unit on the back of the block.

also my blow of valve doesnt seem to be working. its a turbo xs bov, and i used a t- fitting from a vaccum supply line of the intake manifold but its not going of eather, is that becuase i dont seem to be building boost.
any input would be apreciated!

Well it sounds like there isnt a vacume leak (i could be wrong) but to me it sounds like a boost leak. I would start with double checking all you piping and couplers and if you can, do a boost leak test.

how do you do a boost leak check. i know all my couplers are fine and they all use t-bolt clamps that i thought i got on there pritty tight. on my wastgate there are two vacuum things. one says boost and the other says vaccum. i dont have those hooked up at all. should i run my boost gauge to the line that says boost and a vaccum line to the wastgate part that says vaccum?

well there def needs to be a vacume line coming off the wastegate that could def. be a problem. What kind of waste gate is it? Search for the correct vacume line routing. im pretty sure one of those lines should run to the boost controller if you have one then it should t into maybe the FPR? not sure but one of the vacume lines on the IM

You might get better results if you put this in the FI section.
