Default boost issue

sup guys i have a quick question might sound stupid but here it goes. can a pinched vacuum line on a bov create boost problems? its on a 99 ex edelbrock turboed civic. the bov is a tial. from what it looks like it looks like the vacuum line loss its rigidity, and it tightened up i didnt think that was even possible.

thanx guys

Default Re: boost issue (vtekstorm)

If its completly pinched and doesnt allow boost/vacuum to reach the blowoff then yes it would.. The blowoff get pressure pushed on the top of it and pressure from under it when your in boost.. Meaning the boost pushes equaly on both sides and the spring in there keeps it shut..

If you dont have pressure on the top of it then the valve will stay open while in boost.. Can you hear air rushing out of it when your boosting up?
