Default motor swap in ek9

I recently blew the motor in my 2000 civic hatch. It had a y7 bottom end with the y8 vtec head, mini me swap. Im looking to do a swap, and looking for some advice. Im on limited funds but want something with a little more bang for the buck. I had a dohc zc in my crx and liked that motor, is it possible to use the obd1 dohc zc (92-95) motor in my 2000. let me now if ne one could help me out with some info thanks.

B18B or B20 would be best bang for your buck

You have an EJ6 not an EK9.

And like they said, if you are on a budget and you really want a dual cam engine, buy a b18b. Otherwise just buy a d16y8 or d15b

Contrary to popular belief, this does make your car very different and can affect your engine swap.

Why Does everyone gotta chew the guy out about the ej/ek **** (not you androx or NOFX). Everyone made that mistake at one point in their "Honda Tuning" career. Anyways, careful with JDM motors depending on where you live because the american government doesn't like to give passing emissions tests to Yapanese motors.
B20 is tight
B16's can be cheap and are great motors
B18B
or of course the D16Y8 but it just LOVES o spin rod bearings, so i'd go dual cam.

Enjoy whatever decision you make!
