drag owners, howd/when did you put the driverside fan back in?
i just put the manifold/turbo assembly on, but now, theres absolutely no room to put the fan back in, and the turbo wont go in w/o taking the fan out. what did you guys do?
Did you try putting it from the bottom --> up? Or from the top --> down?
When I had the drag kit, it fit in easily. But now I'm running a custom setup and don't have a fan there.

did you cut any part of the fan? i basically had o keep cutting and cutting until the fan would fit. mutilated both fans but hey, at least they still work.
you can give it a shot and butcher the hell out of the fan but cutting up the edges, you'll have to cut away at the housing and the actual fan "blade"(draw where it touches the turbo and then cut it), it works for some people, but even after i did that it still didn't fit so i said eff you to the stock fans, and i just bought dual 10 inch fans, and they fit quite nicely. i just finished my install as well
hmm, i dont think you guys are understanding me
the passenger side fan, i had already trimmed beacuse of the turbo, but the AC fan on the drivers side (gsr's have dual fans) just cant get into position. when its in there, it'll barely clear, butt it'll clear alright. i just cant get it into position.

i have a custom setup, but when i installed that fan....i went from the bottom, it was hard to get it in, but with force and pullin' AC lines out of the way and what not...it went in with no modifications to the fan or its housing....
When I installed my turbo in my GSR, I put the turbo+manifold on with the fan on.
It took alot of twisting and turning to get the turbo+mani to fit...
IF you don't want to do that.. try unboltin the radiator, pull up so the feet are out of the socket, move the radiator closer to the front bumper, and try putting the fan in then.

How weird...i had problems w/ the passenger fan but the driver side fan fit fine. Never even took it off during install.
