Default The puller spal fan

I have yet to see or find any reviews on people using just the 13" Spal fan as a puller WITHOUT a shroud. Id like to see if someone can give some insight on this setup.

I was previously running a 13" pusher spal fan and past roughly 15psi of boost I would see the temperature begin to climb drastically past the 200s. I have already purchased the puller fan and in the process of rebuilding some things on my car (why i have not tested it yet myself). I have enough space to fit the puller fan around my turbo as long as I modify my 4 inch intake which I will be however there is not quite enough room to put in your standard fan shroud. I would have to do something that was angled and even still that probably still wont fit... I am trying to see if I can just avoid the shroud catastrophe.

I didnt have a shroud on my half size and never had an issue. Fan would kick on for maybe 10 seconds when it hit my temp setting.

I am using the 13" puller, and it works great! I have an integra and my radiator doesn't get much airflow. If i'm driving around without the fan on my ect goes waaaaaay up. As long as the fan is running, all is good. On my last datalog from the track, I let my car run for a little bit before my run and during the whole run, the ect stayed at 178 with the car on 25psi. On the shutdown it went up to about 185, which is where it usually stays

Which 13" spal are you using, the one rated at 1750cfm? I am using one of the 1750's as pusher no problems at 16psi in the hot Florida sun I have a half size mishimoto radiator too.

Cheesy 12" pusher here, and the car never goes past 195. I have noticed it runs cooler on E85 though.
