Drag 3 install question
Im in the process of installing the drag 3 turbo kit on my 2000 GSR. My question is, did any of you guys have to modify the fan in order to get the compressor housing to clear it? I had to modify my fan a lot!

Yup not only do you have to cut the shroud you have to cut the fins on the fan too. Do a search I created a topic on this when I cut my fan a while back.

Re: Drag 3 install question (intekragsr)
I didn't on my civic, but I helped a friend put one on his 97 LS and we had to cut a little away from the fan shroud with a dremel(dremel with a carbide disk works the best).
You also might want to think about making the holes used to bolt the fan to the body bigger/longer so you can pull the fan up closer, hence giving more room for engine movement. I did this with the LS and my own civic, eventhough I didn't really need to with my car.

Re: Drag 3 install question (maxim)
That's weird, I didn't have to touch mine. Only trimming I had to do was the bit of webbing on the block.

Re: Drag 3 install question (shamoo)
i had to cut the fan was well.....totally cut it up...there was basically nothing left...
But since then i switched manifolds, and my a 3" downpipe...and I totally had clearance problems with the a/c lines and the a/c fan (second fan)...So I got fal fans, it was a really tight fit, but it all worked out. i'll try and get pictures soon...

Re: Drag 3 install question (integra7)
i didnt have to cut anything. i just clipped the fan shroud at where the turbo was touching and it works fine that way.
