I just clocked my turbo...im little concerned because before i clocked it, there was no shaft play at all. Now there is shaft play- 10 thousands of an inch. I used this special tool to measure the play.
How concerned should i be about this? the shaft doesnt touch the compresor housing. The turbo was brand new and never used.
thanks for any help.
Marc
Edit: i get more movement on the comp side compared to the exhaust.

mine moved a little to and once you add oil in there, the play should be even less ... as long as it doesn't touch the housing it should be fine.

sounds good..it was just a little upsetting- i tried to do it carefully with loosenign the bolts as little as possible. did u torque your to a certain foot pounds?
btw did ur drag kit come witha missing link? i need to buy one.

i didn't torque it to a certain spec ... i just made sure it was "adequately" tight.
i didn't get a missing link with my kit or any check valves.
